Acupuncture
is a centuries old Chinese medical practice in which sterile needles are painlessly inserted into various points on the body.
The body has more than 360 acupuncture points. Stimulating them changes the flow of "energy" within the body...relaxing the entire body and creating a self healing ... a natural healing capable of fixing the root cause of a problem, not just the symptom. Studies have proven many specific ways that acupuncture positively affects the body's healing...a major one being increased blood levels of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers.
Acupuncture
treatment is safe and comfortable. Here you see my treatment room,
designed to welcome, soothe and relax you.
The experience is surprisingly different from what patients imagine.
Acupuncture needles are not really needles at all. They are solid
and hair thin...at least 15 could fit into one hypodermic needle.
The sensation of acupuncture varies from a tiny prick to a pleasant
dull sensation. Needles are sterile and disposable.
Every patient's treatment is unique. After a thorough, one-on-one
consultation, a carefully designed program is tailored according to
the specific needs of each patient. All aspects of a patient's health
are taken into consideration. Care is taken to listen to each patient
and identify how stressful situations, lifestyle changes, and seemingly
unrelated symptoms might be contributing to the existing health condition.
Patient needs and desires are integrated into a custom treatment
plan. The frequency of subsequent visits will vary based upon the
individual patient. You will also be pleased to know that most health
insurance companies have some coverage for acupuncture.
